Story
The Mercedes-AMG F1 W12 E Performance is the car in which Lewis Hamilton won the 2021 Russian Grand Prix. It was his 100th Formula 1 victory.
The race was held on 26 September 2021 at Sochi. Hamilton started 4th. Lando Norris, on pole, led for most of the race and was closing in on his first win, but rain began to fall in the closing laps. Norris chose to stay out on slick tyres; Hamilton pitted to switch to intermediates.
When Norris slid off the track, the lead passed to Hamilton and he took the win. Norris finished 7th. The podium was completed by Verstappen, who climbed from last on the grid to second, and Sainz in third.
Lewis Hamilton became the first Formula 1 driver to reach 100 wins.
