Story
The 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am is the black car Rocky buys in Rocky II (1979). It is known for the large firebird decal on its hood.
After his big fight against Apollo Creed in the first film, Rocky comes into some money and buys himself this Trans Am. The car is a symbol of his brief stretch of prosperity. But things go downhill again over the course of Rocky II, and when his money runs out, he loses the car too. Rocky had bought this Trans Am from a dealership at the corner of Broad and Pine in Philadelphia (the spot is a Starbucks today).
