Cadillac
Fleetwood Series 60
Story
The 1955 Cadillac Fleetwood Series 60 Special is the black luxury sedan that represents the power of the Corleone family in the 1972 film The Godfather.
Several black Fleetwoods appear in Francis Ford Coppola's film. Don Vito Corleone favored a 1940 model. Tom Hagen drove a 1946 model. In the scene where Sonny is assassinated, yet another 1940 model blocks the road. The 1955 model was driven by Peter Clemenza. Several 1955 Fleetwoods also appear in the scene of Don Vito's funeral. This big black Cadillac is the visual signature of the era and of Corleone power. It carries the heavy, ostentatious silence of the mob.
The model is from Greenlight's Hollywood Series 6.
